All change….Moving to Neat

As many of you will know, I was working for Crestron Electronics, working with Microsoft Teams Rooms mainly and a bit of Zoom Rooms. More recently, the new Microsoft Teams Phones and Panels too. However, the time has come to switch it up a gear, and I am moving to Neat.

Neat (based in Norway, I just can’t keep away from Norwegian companies) came out of stealth mode back 2019 at Zoomtopia where they launched exclusively with Zoom. They produce Neat Bar (all in one soundbar/camera/mics), Neat Pad (room controller and room scheduling panel). Then more recently they announced Neat Bar Pro (for medium to large room) and Neat Board (all in one 65″ touchscreen and Neat Bar together). Forthcoming announcements are Neat Frame (personal desktop 15.6″ video device) and Neat One (a camera/mic/speaker USB accessory). Check out the Neat website here.

So, you might be thinking, what is Graham doing at Neat? Well, back in June, Microsoft announced that Neat will be a certified vendor for Microsoft Teams Devices. This will include Neat Bar, Neat Bar Pro, Neat Board (first device in this category), Neat Pad and Neat Frame. Just have a look at the lineup below.

That is a very impressive line-up of devices. However, it is not all about devices. It is what is inside them too. Neat have developed a framing technology called Neat Symmetry, which automatically frames the people in the room. Check it out below.

Neat Symmetry Overview

That is video taken care of, now let’s move onto audio. Neat have developed Neat Bubble. This is where it can work out what audio should be picked up, so when devices are used in open spaces, it will not pick up other conversations that are not in frame say. See a preview of this below.

I’ll leave it at that for now, lots more to come as we get closer to the Microsoft Teams launch and I will be doing lots of blogs and video overviews of the Neat products.

Here’s a bit of fun I put together for my first day at Neat.

So excited to start this new journey and bring more Microsoft Teams devices to the world.
