Just a quick blog post to check in and say that I’m still around.
Since starting my new role at Dimension Data, things have been mega busy. Learning about new technologies and refreshing my memory on things like Citrix Workspace and Xen flavours. The last time I used Citrix was Metaframe back in the late 90’s. Still a great technology.
Also been learning about all what Dimension Data can offer. It is really anything to do with your IT infrastructure. Nothing is impossible.
There is a lot happening in the unified communications space, such as Cisco’s Project Squared launch. This really is a great new way of working. However we have seen the likes of Acano come out with their coSpace, Hudlle Collaboration platform, Yammer etc, all wanting to be the next-gen collaboration platform. Who will win? Well will it be the end users, IT, security officers, compliance offers etc? Time will tell.
